This month we welcome Devin Tilman of the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights as our guest speaker. As an employee for the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights (MCCR), Devin Tillman works within the Education and Outreach department, focusing on engaging with the community to disburse information on anti-discrimination practices and advocacy. Devin’s commitment to community advocacy began as a proud graduate of Bowie State University, where the focus was on community education and advocacy as a peer educator for HIV / AIDS and A.T.O.D (alcohol, tobacco and other drugs). Entering the field of elementary education, Devin found a significant impact in teaching foundational skills.
