The first event in our OutWrite Literary Weekend, Speaking of Essex: A Tribute to Essex Hemphill is bound to provoke the same pride and inspiration for black gay men that Hemphill himself did. Followed immediately by a reading from Martin Duberman, the tribute is going to be a fantastic start to a fantastic weekend experience. The event is going to be held at The DC Center on Friday, August 1 at 6:00 pm.
